Elevate Dairy is designed to connect Victorian dairy farmers with proven innovations from around the world, and the
Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) is central to making sure the right ones get through.
The IAC brings together eight individuals, which includes seven active dairy farmers, spanning veterinary science, corporate finance, agribusiness, agricultural research and industry leadership. Between them, they represent decades of board and governance experience and a deep, practical understanding of what Victorian dairy businesses need to improve profitability and long-term sustainability.
Committee members include active farmers milking across Victoria’s key dairy regions, alongside specialists in research, extension and innovation. Several members hold qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Rural Leadership Program.
Others have led regional dairy bodies, national councils and co-operatives. All of them are deeply invested in the future of the industry.
The IAC plays an important advisory role in shaping the program. Members provide guidance on which industry challenges should be prioritised, review and assess the most promising innovators from a global field, participate in the Innovator Roadshow, and make recommendations on which solutions should receive expansion and adoption support in Victoria.
Their expertise and networks are central to ensuring Elevate Dairy identifies and backs innovations that deliver real impact for Victorian farmers.
